As a member of a comunity of nearly 3,000 people, individual Woodlands residents may wonder how they can help our community. Bob Morris, of Jasmine Court, proved that it's easy to "make a difference". Having a delapidated recycling bin, Bob called the Atlantic County MUA to inquire about getting a new bin.

But, Bob went further. He asked whether it was possible to get new bins for everyone here at the Woodlands! Having been told that anyone can get one free bin each year, Bob went to speak to Brenda Morrison, Woodlands' property manager. After they spoke, Brenda arranged to get a list of our residents to the MUA so it could determine who had not received a recycling bin within the last year.

Just recently, The Woodlands became the recipient of a huge stack of brand-new bins and be distributed to those on the list approved by the MUA.

Is this just a small thing? Not if your bin is also old, faded, cracked and broken (like mine...) and you were at a loss how to replace it. Even more important, it was "big" of Bob to think about doing something for the whole community, rather than just himself. Actions like Bob's show that a little effort can go a long way.
